Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between Gloovy and conventional gloves?
What is the difference between Gloovy and conventional gloves?
Conventional (nitrile) gloves are harmful to the environment due to the chemical production process and the fact that they are not recyclable. Gloovy offers an alternative that is produced more sustainably, resulting in a significantly lower CO₂ footprint.
We are also able – unlike conventional gloves – to recycle our gloves after use into a new raw material, suitable for the production of new products.
Why are gloves an urgent environmental problem?

Several studies have shown that non-sterile disposable gloves are among the most polluting consumables in sectors such as healthcare, cleaning and food processing. The global use of gloves continues to increase annually, making this product type a growing environmental problem.
How much CO₂ and water is saved?
How much CO₂ and water is saved?
Thanks to our efficient production process and the use of more sustainable raw materials, up to 50% CO₂ emissions are saved per glove compared to a conventional nitrile glove.
In addition, production takes place without water consumption, resulting in a saving of approximately 50 liters of water per box of 100 gloves .
When our upcycling collection service is also used, the total CO₂ reduction increases to approximately 70% .
How is the CO₂ saving calculated?
