Why choose Gloovy gloves?
Gloovy gloves are a groundbreaking solution that combines sustainability, innovation and responsibility:
1) Unique Composition:
Our gloves are made from a completely new developed composition of materials, specially designed for durability and recyclability. This composition ensures significantly less environmental impact.
2) More Sustainably Produced:
The production of our gloves is significantly more environmentally friendly. The process uses less energy and chemicals and requires no water, unlike traditional gloves. This makes our production not only cleaner, but also more efficient.
3) Recyclable and Circular:
Thanks to our recyclable composition, as well as the collaboration with a recycling partner, used gloves are processed into new raw materials (compounds). These compounds can be applied in new products with a higher added value (upcycling), so that large amounts of raw materials are not lost.
4) Responsible Protection:
Our gloves are strong, safe and meet all relevant certifications, protecting your health and the planet.
Certification:
- (EU) 2017/745 (MDR)
- (EU)2016/425 PPE regulation (Cat. III)
- AQL ≤1.5
- EN ISO 455-1/2/3/4
- EN ISO 374-1/2/5
- EN ISO 21420:2020 (EN420 + A1)
- EN 1186 - 3 (food)
Result?
Thanks to the unique composition and circular approach, you save up to 75% CO2 compared to polluting nitrile gloves. You also save up to 50 liters of water per box of 100 gloves. Find the total 'Carbon Footprint Analysis' of our gloves via the following link .
Why are (Bio-)Nitrile gloves so harmful to the environment?
Traditional (bio)nitrile gloves have a significant negative impact on the environment:
1) Polluting raw material choice:
Raw materials used in the production of (bio)nitrile gloves are harmful to the environment and difficult to reuse.
2) Not recyclable:
Due to the use of vulcanized rubber, nitrile gloves are not recyclable. In the case of bio-nitrile, it is still practically impossible for waste processors to separate these gloves and compost them under ideal conditions (60-70 degrees). This is not cost-technically feasible. Moreover, the raw materials are still lost.
3) Polluting Production Process:
Nitrile gloves are produced using a complex chemical process that involves high energy and raw material costs. In addition, a large amount of water is needed in the production of these gloves, namely 50 liters per box of 100 gloves.
Result:
The entire production and waste process of nitrile gloves causes a huge amount of CO2 emissions. Also, an average of 50 liters of water is needed for the production of 100 gloves. Find the total CO2 emissions of Nitrile gloves in the following report
Make a Sustainable Choice with Gloovy Gloves
Only when implementing Gloovy gloves will the end user save 50% CO2 immediately, as well as a significant amount of water. If the end user chooses to collect the used gloves and
upcycled through our recycling program, this results in a total CO2 reduction of no less than 75%.
